No your clues were to easy: an Anime that Miyasaki directed over 20 years ago.
I was pretty sure it wasn't My Neighbor Totoro because I knew the person but haven't seen Totoro. So there wasn't much left looking at the character design it could only be Laputa or Nausicaä. I rewatched both and found Muska. ^^

But this game can be very tough if you don't know those movies.
